Financial Support

Walk to Emmaus movement and this community is supported entirely by volunteers and through donations. While the majority of financial support does come through pilgrim registrations, the community desires to keep the costs as low as possible for pilgrims. Additional financial support from the community helps us to do that, and even to provide scholarships to pilgrims (and volunteers) who otherwise might not be able to attend.

A Note on Tithing

"I didn't come here to get a sermon on tithing!"

We know, and you won't get one. But we must simply say that "tithing" is between you, God, and your local church. We are not interested in being part of your regular tithe, because that is meant to support the ministry of your local church, the very ministry we are also trying to support. If you choose to support this Southeast Michigan Walk to Emmaus Community, please do so above and beyond your tithe, as you are able. Your local church needs your support, first.
